Marie Antoniette Prospero is a local Etobicoke artist, a long time member of the Etobicoke Art Group,The Humber Valley Art Club and a signature member of The Toronto Watercolour Society, The Colour and Form Society and Pastel Artists of Ontario. She is a founding member of the Neilson Park Creative Centre and a past Board member as well and chair of the Gallery Committee for 15 years.  She has studied art under many prestigious artists and her first media was oil painting .

 

Now she paints predominately in watercolour and acrylics as well as on silk. Her paintings show different landscapes particularly those of Ontario and Italy and the many moods of the sea.  She delights in painting young children and the occasional portrait and tries to communicate the joy that she sees in the world around her through her paintings . She has a definite passion and love for the colour and flow of the different media.
